the 5th post for assignment (i think)

well when i put my frames into gimp i found out that they're transparent which is not good. apparently. it was also going backwards. i now have to go through every single frame and right click and go to the 'go to' then go to paint and then save it from paint. it's going to be quite tedious.
the frames are also supposed to be png when you load it onto gimp because apparently it doesn't load or something when it's png but because im soooooo special it worked for me.

4th blog for assignment

well i spent forever to try and make my pig walk which might seem easy to you but my pig has to knees so he has to waddle which looks really weird. anyways i ended up just letting him waddle. it's impossible to make him walk properly. when my pig waddles the animation isn't very smooth but after he turns into a super pig it's pretty smooth, if i do say so myself.
i decided to make him turn into a super pig and fly into the wall. i've got around 80-90 frames and sir said that we need a minimum of 50 frames for the minimum 5 seconds which is fine by me.
i love using these graphics tablets because i reckon it's easier to use especially for the details.
i thought my computer died on me at the beginning of the lesson but the screen and keyboard cables had just come out. it was pretty funny afterwards.

carry on for 3rd blog

i just deleted my frames meaning to start again but i forgot to open the last frame i had of my pig so i could start again so i need to wait until i get to school so i can get the last frame from my s drive. arrrggghh, im so stupid sometimes!

3rd post for assignment

i asked sir why i couldn't move my pig when i opened it or imported it and it's really simple. i saved my images as png not svg. you can't change png files but you can with svg.i realised after about 10 frames that im not making enough to make it run smoothly so im going to redo it now. and save it as svg not png. did you know that i drew my fabulous pig and my creation processes is that i move my pig a tiny bit then export my frame as.... svg now that i know of my mistake. i move my pig a little bit more then export again and keep repeating it over and over and over and over and over. it's pretty boring after a while. no offense Mr Lennon and other IST teachers. my frame rate im aiming for is around at least 20 frames per second because i think that's what a good animation frame rate is, im not positive though. i better get on with the animation then. bye...

2nd blog for assignment

well i spent about 10 minutes of precious lesson time creating a folder on my usb and saving all my frames and stuff onto it and when i got home i realised that i couldn't move my pig when i opened the frame or imported it. i spent like nearly half an hour trying to move it but it was futile. i am going to ask sir how to move it. i wonder if we have to do all the tasks because i will NEVER finish it in time. here is a picture of my pig. i thought everyone would like to see who he is. ta da isn't he fabulous.

1st blog for assignment

well i chose to use inkscape because i find inkscape easier to use and i know how to actually make the frames (in gimp i didn't really follow the whole duplicate frame thing). I've also had practice so i know what I'm doing.
well i did a rough animation using inkscape but i didn't know how to turn it into an animation using gimp but then sir told us that it was on general help so I'm alright now.
my animation is going to be a pig who walks onto the screen tries to bend over to pick up a ball but he realises that he can't reach it and gets angry at himself.
during the development of the frames i saved it as png and i still saved it as png after i exported it.
well I'm off to actually make my animation right now. bye...

olympic rings task

well i decided to use paint because you can actually do the rings properly and on word you can draw the rings but you can't get the rings to interlock. i didn't know how to make the lines thicker so i zoomed in and painted it thicker with the paint brush. i also painted over the other rings to make it look interlocked. im so smart, yeah right. i also tried to do it on word but failed miserably. the rings just wouln't interlock no matter what i tried so i gave up.

here is my beautiful piece of artwork.

gingerbread man task

well i had no idea you could do this type of stuff on word but through this subject im literally learning new things every lesson.

anyways..... i used the basic shapes to draw the man and the box but i used the block arrows to create arrows. kinda obvious right. i selected the box and clicked 3-d style which made it 3-d. it's pretty much self explanatory. i added a speech bubble and stuck with the environmental, recycling theme and blah, blah, blah. you get the idea. i coloured it in and hey presto I've created my own gingerbread man. here is the final product. i know that you can't read the writing but i couldn't be bothered to change the size of the writing. any who... it says 'Hello, I'm cylinder man. Always recycle because it's good for the environment.' it's lame i know but i didn't know what else to write.
